Willow paints from a cottage studio overlooking the Herring Brook Marsh near First Encounter Beach.

She was born into a family of artists living in the Berkshires of Massachusetts. She graduated from Boston University and Harvard University before beginning a career in high tech that took her around the world from Borneo to Australia, from Finland to Argentina. In 2002, the urge to paint full-time was so strong that she moved permanently to Cape Cod and began painting at the Cape Cod Art Association with Arnold Desmaris and Joe McGurl.

Having a finite amount of time in this world, Willow believes that it is important to hold on to a sunset, a flower or a moment to make it a permanent part of one’s experience.

After living in different parts of New England, Willow finds particular inspiration in the artist community, the geography and the history of Cape Cod and wishes to capture the uniqueness of the area and its relationship with water to share with others.
